This 2023 HONDA CMX300 recall affects the ENGINE AND ENGINE COOLING:EXHAUST SYSTEM:EMISSION CONTROL:CRANKCASE (PCV) Manufactured by Honda (American Honda Motor Co.)

Description Of Defect

Honda (American Honda Motor Co.) is recalling certain 2023 Rebel 300 (CMX300) motorcycles. The right engine crank house cover was incorrectly painted, allowing the press-fit plug to fall out.

Conseqence Of Defect

Oil can leak onto the exhaust pipe or rear tire without the plug, increasing the risk of a fire, crash, or injury.

Corrective Action

Dealers will replace the right crank case cover, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed May 25, 2023. Owners may contact Honda customer service at 1-800-784-1870. Honda's number for this recall is KP2.
