Every Chevrolet Bolt EV and Bolt EUV made by General Motors (GM) is under recall because the batteries could be defective. The problem is the result of two manufacturing defects in the N2.1 battery cell, combined with charging the battery to a full or nearly full state of charge after it has been substantially depleted. This 2022 CHEVROLET BOLT EV recall affects the AIR BAGS:FRONTAL Manufactured by General Motors, LLC
General Motors, LLC. (GM) is recalling certain 2022 Chevrolet Bolt EV and Bolt EUV vehicles. One of the two fasteners that secure the driver's frontal air bag to the steering wheel may be missing or improperly tightened.
An improperly installed air bag may not deploy properly in a crash, increasing the risk of injury.
