2016 Nissan Titan XD Inaccurate Fuel Readings

The owners of certain 2016 Nissan Titan Diesel XD trucks may experience problems with their fuel readings due to a manufacturing error affecting the fuel tank ventilation. During the assembly process, certain technicians may not have removed the temporary fuel tank breather tube cap and failed to affix the tube to the bed rail. As a result, the fuel tank may not receive proper ventilation and in rare instances may deform. This condition could result in the fuel gauge and the distance to empty meter displaying inaccurately.

Dealers will inspect the fuel tank breather tube, replacing the fuel tank, fuel sending unit, and/or fuel tank breather tube, as necessary. 2017 Mercedes Benz E300 Inaccurate Fuel Gauge & Stalling Engines

Daimler AG has determined that certain 2017 Mercedes Benz E300 vehicles may have a defect affecting the fuel system wiring. They will be asking owners to return to their dealership for repairs. According to the defect report filed with the NHTSA, the rear seat bench frame could rub against the fuel system control unit wiring. If the wiring harness is damaged, the fuel pump, fuel tank pressure sensor or the fuel gauge could fail.

Owners receiving notices will be asked to return to their dealerships to have the fuel system control unit wiring route modified and repair any damaged wires as necessary. Infiniti Fuel System Inaccuracies

Nissan is recalling certain 2003-2004 Infiniti M45 vehicles for an electrical problem that could leave drivers stranded. Because of a circuit board failure, the fuel gauge may read at a higher level than actually exists in the tank.
