2006-2014 Subaru Tribeca Hood Latch Safety Issue
A possible malfunction of the hood safety system and hood lock system of certain 2006-2014 Subaru Tribeca vehicles, will have approximately 77,000owners returning to their dealerships for repairs. According to reports filed with the NHTSA, rusted parts and/or solidified grease within the springs inside of the hood safety system and/or the hood lock system may result in a latch open condition when the hood is closed. 2013-2015 Nissan Altima Repeated Repair Attempt
Nissan will be notifying the owners of certain 2013-2015 Altima‘s about a safety problem affecting the hood latch of their cars. According to reports, these vehicles have been previously repaired under recalls 14V-565 and 15V-116.
A manufacturing error affecting the hood latch assembly in some of the subject vehicles may result in poor paint adhesion to the latch. Over time exposed metal may corrode and cause mechanical binding that may result in the latch to remain in the open position. Chrysler & Dodge Minivan Hood Latch Could Detach
Chrysler will be asking the owners of some 2016 Chrysler Town and Country and 2016 Dodge Grand Caravan minivans to return to their dealerships to repair a safety problem that could result in the drivers vision being obstructed. According to reports filed with the NHTSA, during manufacturing, the bolts that attach the hood striker may have been insufficiently tightened and could loosen over time and detach from the hood.
