Honda will be notifying owners of certain Acura MDX and RLX vehicles about a safety problem affecting the Collision Mitigation Braking System (CMBS). According to reports filed with the NHTSA, under certain driving conditions the CMBS may interpret roadside objects, such as metal fences and guardrails, as obstacles, and apply emergency braking. 2012 Nissan Versa CA Lemon Law Buyback

Mercedes Benz 2015 Sprinter Oil Leaks
Mercedes-Benz have identified a defect that will add another one thousand three hundred and thirty five 2015 Sprinter 2500 and Sprinter 3500, 4 cylinder diesel engine vehicles to recall 14V-764.
According to the defect report, the chain tensioner gasket may have experienced variations in material tolerance during production. The affected gaskets could settle and affect the pretensioning force. Over time this may lead to loosening of the chain tensioner and leaks from the engine gasket seal. Leakage of engine oil on the road could pose a threat to following traffic and could result in a seized engine. Oil leakage in the presence of an ignition source could also increase the risk of a potential fire. Continue reading

The House of Energy and Commerce Committee have introduced a safety bill designed to increase penalties for auto, tire, and auto parts makers that fail to recall defective products or notify the government of safety problems. The Vehicle Safety Improvement Act, introduced Feb. 27, 2015, hopes to address a number of shortfalls in the current system by enhancing congress oversight of the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) and making safety information more readily available to consumers. Are You Still Waiting For Airbag Replacement Parts?
With a record number of recalls released last year, people visiting the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) website to check the VIN number of their vehicle to see if it has been recalled, may experience problems accessing the information they are looking for. The service has been slow after automakers released another round of recalls for defective Takata airbags. About 33.8 million vehicles, manufactured by 11 different automakers, have already been recalled to replace frontal airbags on the driver’s side and/or passenger’s side, because they could deploy with too much force, injuring and in some instances killing occupants.
