Excessive Brake Pedal Travel In 2012 Hyundai Genesis Sedans
After receiving complaints of decreased brake effectiveness in certain 2009-2012 Genesis Sedans, Hyundai has identified the problem as corrosion in the Hydraulic Electronic Control Unit (HECU) module.
The subject vehicles may have been filled with a brake fluid with insufficient corrosion inhibitors. Over time, the problem could lead to a gel buildup on the HECU module’s valves resulting in a soft brake pedal and reduced braking effectiveness. Increased stopping distances can substantially increase the risk of an accident. Continue reading
Brake Assist Problems In Certain 2014 BMW Cars
BMW has identified a breaking problem in certain 2014 sedans and sports cars which could lead to the failure of the brake vacuum pump and loss of brake assist. Jaguar Engine Stall Problem
Jaguar Land Rover North America is recalling approximately one thousand 2013 XF 2.0L GTDi gasoline engine vehicles because the engines could stall. The vehicles were manufactured at the Castle Bromwich (UK) Assembly Plant between July, 2012 to May 2013. The NHTSA Campaign Number is 13V341000. Continue reading
