Chrysler will be notifying the owners of certain 2015 Chrysler 200 vehicles about an electrical problem affecting their cars. According to reports filed with the NHTSA, the Power Distribution Center (PDC) electrical connector may have been manufactured with spread terminals that could have an intermittent connection between the connector and the PDC. 2015 Ferrari Airbag Safety Defect
A safety defect affecting certain 2015 Ferrari sports cars will have owners returning to their dealership for repairs.
According to reports on the NHTSA website, a combination of insufficient gluing of the leather skin of the driver’s air bag module cover to the plastic base and an improper orientation of the air bag cushion could result in the airbag deploying in a rotated orientation. Acura MDX A/C Clutch Bolt Failure
A manufacturing error affecting certain 2014-2015 Acura MDX and MDX AWD vehicles will have approximately 106,439 owners returning to their dealership for repairs.
According to reports, during manufacturing of the A/C compressor clutch drive bolts, certain lots failed to receive the proper dielectric topcoat. As a result, the bolts are more susceptible to corrosion and could break during operation. In addition, some bolt lots did not receive sufficient curing of the e-coat which could result in low torque values and low hardness. The bolts could loosen and fall off during operation. 2015 Cadillac ATS & CTS Brake Defect
On June 09, 2015 General Motors announced that they will be asking a small number of 2015 Cadillac ATS and CTS owners to return to their dealerships for repairs. According to reports filed with the NHTSA, the bracket between the brake pedal assembly and the rod that actuates the vehicle service brakes may have been fractured during manufacturing. Mercedes Benz 2015 Sprinter Oil Leaks
Mercedes-Benz have identified a defect that will add another one thousand three hundred and thirty five 2015 Sprinter 2500 and Sprinter 3500, 4 cylinder diesel engine vehicles to recall 14V-764.
According to the defect report, the chain tensioner gasket may have experienced variations in material tolerance during production. The affected gaskets could settle and affect the pretensioning force. Over time this may lead to loosening of the chain tensioner and leaks from the engine gasket seal. Leakage of engine oil on the road could pose a threat to following traffic and could result in a seized engine. Oil leakage in the presence of an ignition source could also increase the risk of a potential fire. Continue reading

Mitsubishi Lancer & Outlander Safety Defects
Mitsubishi has launched two separate safety campaigns affecting certain Lancer and Outlander vehicles manufactured between 2009-2011.
Safety Campaign 15V-232 (SR-15-002): An inappropriate manufacturing process of certain electrical parts within the ETACS ECU may result in a high electrical resistance and unstable voltage within the system. Loss of headlights, windshield wipers, and tail lights could result, reducing drivers visibility, and increasing the risk of an accident. Drivers will be warned of an ETACS malfunction through an illuminating engine and/or brake warning lamp. Continue reading
