Harley Davidson (HD) has identified two problems affecting the power train in certain 2014 FLH-Series motorcycles. According to the report filed with the NHTSA, certain units may have an incorrectly manufactured clutch master cylinder that could allow air to to get into the system. Additionally, the motorcycles may have been fitted with the incorrect clutch release plate. Both problem could prevent the clutch from disengaging, making it difficult for the rider to slow or stop the motorcycle. The motorcycles affected by the problem include:

- 2014 FLHTK

- 2014 FLHTP
- 2014 FLHX
- 2014 FLHXS
Owners of the affected motorcycles will receive a notification letter asking them to arrange service with an authorized dealer who will confirm if the motorcycle is covered by the recall. Affected vehicles will have their clutch master cylinder rebuilt and the clutch release plate will be inspected for the correct part, and replaced as necessary.
