In August 2008 a client of ours purchased a new Chevrolet Silverado. The vehicle ran relatively well except for a few minor problems with the doors and drive-shaft. In April 2010 he started hearing a clunking noise which he described to be coming from the transmission. Over the next few years and after several repair attempts, our client decided to contact the Law Offices of Delsack & Assoc., P.C..
Our first contact with the client was in May 2013 with over 60,000 miles on the truck. Because his problems started while the truck was under the original new car warranty and under the manufacturer’s drive-train warranty, GM agreed to repurchase the Silverado. In less than two months after retaining our firm, we were able to negotiate a full buy back of his vehicle. The settlement included paying off the remaining balance owed to the bank, reimbursement to our client for almost 5 years of monthly payments plus pro-rated reimbursement for his registration, less only the mileage fee deduction allowed under California lemon law. Our attorney’s fees were paid by the manufacturer as well.
Our client was very happy to return his Chevrolet Silverado to the manufacturer and receive his repurchase settlement check.
