Our California lemon law offices were recently visited by a Palmdale, California resident who bought a brand new 2011 Chevrolet Cruze from a dealership in Valencia, California.
Shortly after purchasing her Cruze compact sedan, she received a recall notice for an improperly installed transmission shift linkage. The problem would give inaccurate transmission readings, allowing the driver to move the shifter to park and remove the ignition key without the transmission gear actually being in park. She was also experiencing issues with an illuminating Service Engine Soon (SES) light, oil leaks, and the air conditioning (A/C) system. All of these problems were eventually fixed by the dealership.
At approximately 11,000 miles, the Chevy Cruze StabiliTrak (General Motors Electronic Stability Control (ESC) system) traction stability warning light would intermittently come on while driving and the steering wheel would feel spongy. After four (4) unsuccessful repair attempts our client began to feel uneasy about driving the vehicle and decided to contact our California lemon law offices.
Shortly after submitting a demand for repurchase of the 2011 Chevy Cruze, the Law Offices of Delsack & Associates, P.C. received a buyback offer that the client immediately accepted. She received a full vehicle buy back and was reimbursed for her down payment and monthly payments, minus a manufacturer user fee as allowed by the California Lemon Law. All attorney fees were also paid by Chevrolet.
