General Motors (GM) is recalling certain 2010-2012 Chevrolet Colorado and 2010-2012 GMC Canyon vehicles because the secondary hood latch may have not been installed. If the primary latch is not properly engaged, the hood could unexpectedly open while driving, obstructing the drivers view and increasing the chance of an accident. GM will be notifying customers with instructions on how to inspect their vehicle for the presence of a secondary latch, and dealers will install a new latch on any affected vehicles.
