We recently met with a San Bernardino, California resident who had purchased a new 2008 Chevrolet Silverado at a nearby dealership. After only 31,000 miles, the transmission started slipping in second gear and had to be brought to the dealer for repairs. The problem recurred at 46,000, 76,000, and 79,000 miles, but the dealership was unable to repair the problem.
