General Motors will be asking approximately 1.4 million vehicle owners to return to their dealerships to fix a problem affecting several older model nameplates. U.S. safety regulators issued a recall to fix the defect in 2007 after owners reported engine fires shortly after parking their vehicles. GM Wiper Motors May Short And Overheat
General Motors has decided that a manufacturing defect which relates to vehicle safety exists in certain 2016 Buick Enclave, Chevrolet Traverse, and GMC Acadia vehicles and they will be asking approximately 30,000 owners to return to their dealerships for repairs. According to reports filed with the NHTSA, wiper motor covers manufactured using a broken tool, may allow internal terminals to move and potentially contact each other, creating an electrical short. 2009 Buick Enclave Lemon Law Buyback
After trying unsuccessfully to have his defective 2009 Buick Enclave repaired, the owner decided to contact the Law Offices of Delsack & Associates, P.C. for advice and to retain our firm. He told us he had complained many time to the GMC dealer about the problems he was having and had taken his vehicle in to a GM approved dealership to have defects fixed, six (6) times. These problems included:
- Power steering locks up and becomes difficult to turn at low speeds
- Transmission slips, won’t shift, or shifts erratically
- Unexpected loss of power
- Defective water pump
- Defective seat cooling
GM Loss Of Electric Power Steering Assist
General Motors will be notifying owners of certain 2015 Buick Encore and 2015 Chevrolet Trax crossover vehicles about an electrical defect affecting the steering system. According to reports, these vehicles may have been manufactured with a steering column assembly housing that could contact the power steering printed circuit board. Possible Tire Failure For Buick, Chevy & GMC SUVs
The tires on certain 2015 Buick Enclave, Chevrolet Traverse, and GMC Acadia vehicles may fail to conform to the Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standards for tire safety. According to reports filed with the NHTSA, cracking tire treads could lead to loss of pressure and possible tire failure, increasing the risk of an accident. GM Chassis Electronic Module Short
General Motors have identified a defect relating to motor vehicle safety exists in certain Buick, Cadillac, Chevrolet, and GMC cars, trucks, minivans, and SUVs, after certain vehicles began displaying a check engine malfunction indicator lamp (MIL) during post production testing. Buick, Cadillac, And Chevrolet Sedan Steering Problem
General Motors will be asking owners of certain Buick, Cadillac, and Chevrolet sedans to return their vehicles to a manufacturer approved repair facility to have their vehicles steering system inspected and repaired. According to reports filed at the NHTSA website, the fasteners holding the intermediate shaft and the steering gear, and/or at the lower control arm to the lower ball joint may have not been torqued to the correct specifications.
