An investigation has lead Nissan to identify a problem in certain Nissan and Infiniti vehicles, where the passenger air bag did not deploy and the air bag status light was not illuminated. The investigation uncovered a problem in which the Occupant Classification System (OCS) classified the seat as empty even though it was occupied. Owners of certain 2014 Infiniti Q50 sedans will be asked to make arrangements to have their vehicles towed to the nearest Infiniti retailer so that repairs can be done to the steering system. Nissan has identified a breaking issue in certain Nissan and Infiniti sport utility vehicle’s (SUV’s) and are asking customers to bring in their automobiles to have their Anti-lock Braking System (ABS) reprogrammed. The vehicles experiencing this problem include Infiniti’s 2013 JX35 and 2014 QX60 as well as Nissan’s 2013-2014 Pathfinder. Approximately 152,000 vehicles could be affected.
