Jaguar Land Rover Braking, Steering, & Electrical Defects

Jaguar Land Rover North America have filed several non compliance reports with the NHTSA and will be asking owners of certain Jaguar and Land Rover vehicles to return to an authorized dealer for repairs.

The first problem involves 2013-2014 Jaguar XF, XJ, and XK vehicles. Reports filed with the NHTSA state that during prolonged aggressive driving with frequent lateral and braking force, it is possible for the rear toe link to separate from the rear sub frame. Once separated, the orientation of the rear wheels could be affected, compromising stability and directional control. The problem can significantly increase the risk of an accident. Dealers will replace the nut and washer assembly on the rear toe links, free of charge. Jaguar’s number for this recall is J037 and the NHTSA campaign number is 14V-157. Continue reading →

2014 Range Rover Airbag Warning Lamp

Jaguar Land Rover North America have identified an airbag problem affecting certain 2013-2014 Range Rover luxury four-wheel drive sport utility vehicles (SUV). Owners will be notified to take their Land Rover to an authorized repair facility to have the front side squab foam modified for clearance. California Lemon Law Jaguar XF Buyback

A former client from Chino Hills, CA contacted us recently about his 2010 Jaguar XF. He was very pleased with the outcome of a previous case we had handled for him with a different manufacturer.

He had leased this Jaguar in April, 2010, which soon thereafter developed an engine noise and a coolant leak. After a reasonable number of repair attempts the dealer was still unable to fix the vehicle. Our former client then contacted us for help in obtaining a repurchase and reimbursement under the California lemon law.

After filing our demand for repurchase Jaguar agreed to buy the vehicle back under the California lemon law and agreed to pay to our client his down payment, plus all of his monthly payments, minus the mileage deduction allowed under the law. Jaguar also paid off the balance of the lease and our attorney’s fees.
