Nissan is warning drivers of certain 2013 Infiniti JX35 crossover utility vehicles that they could be left stranded due to a problem that could lead to fuel reading inaccuracies. According to Nissan, The fuel line transfer tube may have been miss-routed in the fuel tank during manufacturing. The float may be restricted from moving as fuel is consumed, giving the driver higher fuel reading than there actually is. Nissan will inspect and reroute the fuel transfer tube as necessary. Nissan is recalling certain 2003-2004 Infiniti M45 vehicles for an electrical problem that could leave drivers stranded. Because of a circuit board failure, the fuel gauge may read at a higher level than actually exists in the tank. Infiniti Airbag Deployment Problem
Nissan is recalling certain 2003-2005 Infiniti Q45 vehicles for a problem with the seat mounted airbag wiring. The connector for the airbags could experience corrosion which will result in increased electrical resistance. The airbag may not deploy properly, leaving the occupants unprotected. Nissan will start notifying owner starting March 12, 2012, and will modify the wiring connector free of charge. Nissan Fuel Pressure Sensor May Leak
Nissan is recalling certain Nissan and Infiniti vehicles for a fuel pressure sensor that may not have been tightened to the correct manufacturers specifications. The sensor may loosen as a result of heat and vibration, causing fuel to leak and increasing the risk of fire. Nissan will inspect and replace the the fuel pressure sensor as necessary. Nissan Power Window Problem
Nissan is recalling some 2011-2012 Infiniti G37 Coupe and 2011 Nissan 370Z vehicles for a problem with the power windows. According to the report filed with the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) the power window switch controller may be manufactured out of specification making the auto reverse feature inaccurate. If a body part should become trapped by a closing window, a pinch injury could result before the window reverses.
