Honda has identified a problem with certain 2014 Acura MDX AWD mid-size luxury crossover SUV’s, which could result in the drive shaft bolts loosening, possibly allowing the shaft to detach. In support of this recall, service bulletin 13-042 has been posted on Honda’s Integrated Service Information System (ISIS) which includes inspection, repair, parts, and warranty information related to this campaign. 2014 VW Jetta Hybrid Sudden Loss Of Engine Power
Volkswagen will be asking owners of certain 2013-2014 Jetta Hybrid cars to return their vehicles to the nearest VW dealership to have the gearbox oil replaced. The Insurance Institute for Highway Safety (IIHS) is once again making it increasingly difficult for automakers to achieve top ratings for vehicle safety, by tightening testing criteria for the third time since 2006. The tests will evaluate two aspects of safety: crash worthiness – how well a vehicle protects its occupants in a crash – and crash avoidance and mitigation – technology that can prevent a crash or lessen its severity. 2013 Mercedes SL Airbag Classification Problem
A limited number to Mercedes Benz SL-Class vehicles manufactured between January 16, 2013 to April 30, 2013 may be equipped with an Occupant Classification System (OCS) that does not detect a passenger or child seat in the passenger position. Harley Davidson Motorcycle Clutch Does Not Disengage
Harley Davidson (HD) has identified two problems affecting the power train in certain 2014 FLH-Series motorcycles. According to the report filed with the NHTSA, certain units may have an incorrectly manufactured clutch master cylinder that could allow air to to get into the system. Additionally, the motorcycles may have been fitted with the incorrect clutch release plate. Both problem could prevent the clutch from disengaging, making it difficult for the rider to slow or stop the motorcycle. Continue reading
