2017 Jeep Grand Cherokee Tow Bracket May Loosen

Chrysler will be contacting a small number of 2017 Jeep Grand Cherokee owners about a problem affecting the equipment on their vehicles. In the affected Grand Cherokee’s, the rear tow hook bracket or tow eye bracket may not have been tightened sufficiently. If the tow bracket is loose it could separate from the vehicle, possibly becoming a road hazard or could result in a loss of control of the tow vehicle. Either scenario increases the risk of a crash.

Dealers will inspect both tow hook bracket bolts and tighten them ass necessary. Owners wanting more information about the problem are asked to contact Chrysler customer service at 1-800-853-1403. Chrysler’s number for this recall is S73 and the NHTSA campaign number is 16V-686.

2012-2013 Audi A6 and A7 Fuel Smell

Volkswagen has determined that certain 2012-2013 Audi A6 and A7 vehicles may have a defect affecting the fuel line system. According to the technical investigation, the hold function of the under hood fuel pump could fail and cause the under hood fuel hose to become porous and leak. A fuel leak may result in a noticeable fuel smell and a fire in the presence of an ignition source.

2017 Porsche Macan Oversteers Under Certain Driving Conditions

Porsche will be contacting the owners of certain 2017 Macan sports cars about a problem that could lead to a loss of vehicle control. There is a possibility that the front anti-roll bar was fitted with defective connecting links that may allow the bushings to move out of the connecting link eyes. This can cause a rattling noise and could lead to the anti-roll bar to stop functioning during extreme driving maneuvers.

Porsche will notify owners, and dealers will inspect the front anti-rollbar links and replace them as necessary. 2016-2017 Volvo S90 & XC90 Airbag Fault Warning Indication

Volvo will be asking the owners of certain 2016-2017 S90 and XC90 vehicles to return to their dealerships to correct a problem affecting the air conditioning system. Due to an incorrect installation, condensation from the air conditioning drainage hose may leak into the passenger compartment. Drivers may notice some air conditioning functionality issues, and if the problem is not repaired, the moisture could affect the supplemental restraint and the engine management systems. 2017 Audi Q7 Loss Of Power Steering Assist

Volkswagen will be asking a small number of 2017 Audi Q7 owners to return to their dealerships to repair a problem affecting the power steering. According to the defect report, the silicone gel used to protect the ECU’s circuit board may not have hardened sufficiently and could allow particles to enter the area. The board could short circuit and result in loss of power steering assist. Drivers may experience an illuminated power steering warning light and a loss of power steering assist.

2016 Cadillac CT6 Seat Belt Safety

General Motors will be contacting certain 2016 Cadillac CT6 owners about a safety problem that could exist in their vehicles. According to the defect report, the bolts that secure the front passenger seat belt webbing to the seat anchor plate may be missing. The webbing could detach from the seat anchor and may not effectively restrain the passenger during a crash.

Dealers will replace the existing front passenger seat belt webbing anchor bolt, or if the bolt is missing, install a new one. Owners can contact Cadillac customer service at 1-800-458-8006 for more information. GM’s number for this recall is 16035 and the NHTSA campaign number is 16V-687. 2016 Hyundai Tucson Will Not Accelerate

Certain 2016 Hyundai Tucson vehicles equipped with a 7-speed EcoShift dual clutch transmissions could experience unexpected loss of engine power. According to the defect report filed with the NHTSA, during higher ambient temperatures and specific operating conditions, the transmission clutch could experience a delay in engagement. If the driver presses the accelerator pedal steadily for approximately 1.5 to 2 seconds, the vehicle will begin to accelerate normally, however, if the accelerator pedal is repeatedly cycled, the vehicle will not move. 2010-2013 Audi A8 Engine Unexpectedly Shuts Down

As the result of an investigation into malfunctioning coolant valves, Volkswagen will be contacting the owners of certain 2010-2013 Audi A8 cars to return to their dealerships for repairs. According to the defect report, over time it is possible for coolant to leak through a coolant valve wire connection and migrate into the engine control module (ECM). The ECM could short and switch the engine into “limp home mode” or stall the engine completely.
